How We Ship Our Products

At Viper Woodworking, we take pride not just in how we build our products, but in how we deliver them. Every piece we craft is made to last a lifetime, and we want the shipping experience to reflect that same level of care and honesty. Here’s what you can expect when your handcrafted furniture is ready to ship.

Fair, Location-Based Shipping

Shipping furniture can be surprisingly expensive — in some cases, it can account for nearly 30% of the total cost of the product. Many companies handle this by inflating their product prices and then advertising “free shipping.”

At Viper Woodworking, we believe that approach unfairly penalizes our customers who live close to our Maryland facility. Instead, we do things differently.

We work with trusted third-party shippers to get accurate quotes for every order. Whatever we’re charged, we pass that exact cost directly to you. This means that if you live nearby, you’ll naturally pay much less for shipping than someone farther away. It’s a transparent and fair system that ensures you’re only paying what’s necessary — not subsidizing someone else’s delivery.

  • Proper moisture content for long-term stability

  • Precision joinery for strength and durability

  • Consistent grain flow that mass-produced veneers simply can’t match

Every board tells a story, and we make sure it shines through in the final piece.

Fully Assembled, Ready to Enjoy

In most cases, your furniture will arrive fully assembled. If it can fit through your front door, it’s likely coming to you that way. This saves you hours of assembly time and ensures your piece arrives in perfect condition — exactly as it left our shop.

When comparing our products to competitors, don’t forget to factor in the time (and frustration) that comes with assembly-required furniture. After all, your time is valuable — and time is money!
